Santa dropped into Uckfield FM on Christmas morning. He joined Peter Suter during the Breakfast Show and read messages from the listeners as well as judging the Christma joke competition with Peter. Lawson Commercial provided the Prize. Can you guess who is dressed up as Santa?!

Lawson Commercial have been instructed to sell two adjoining shops at Rainbow Parade on the busy Burwash Road at Broad Oak. Also in the parade are an hair dressers and the well know Spar convenience store. It is likely that they were originally one shop which has been divided into two small shops but could easily be reconverted back to one shop. For some years one half has been used as an administrative office but readily be adapted back for retail use.. There is a flat behind and one above both of which have been sold off on long leases giving a £110 ground rent income. At £100,000 this represents very good value for money.
Lawson Commercial have just been instructed to sell a rather unusual building just north of Bexhill town centre which is a fully fitted dental laboratory. It is situated in a quite residential road lying between some houses and comprises just under 8,500 sq ft. The main building is fully fitted with a 800 sq ft training room/meeting room, various laboratories/workshops, kitchen, staff rooms, packing/dispatch area, surgery and a big warehouse for storage together with a detached store. Lawson Commercial partner Chris Lawson said: ‘It is ideal for someone who wants to set up a dental laboratory as it is very well arranged and would just need some general fitting out. Alternatively, subject to getting a planning consent, it could make quite an interesting residential development site. It is available freehold at £445,000.’ For a full set of marketing details contact us now.
At the recent Uckfield FM Radio Awards one of the auction lots donated by BBC South East Today was a visit to the Tunbridge Wells studios. This was acquired by Lawson Commercial partner Chris Lawson who took up the visit recently with Uckfield FM presenter Peter Suter. The visit was hosted by Andy Garland who gave Chris and Peter a tour of the Radio Kent studios and then they were taken to the producers’ gallery to watch a live edition of South East Today. Chris Lawson said: ‘This was a fascinating visit and extremely enjoyable. We got to meet Kaddy Lee Preston and talked about presenting the weather. After the broadcast we also met Polly Evans and Rob Smith who are presenter journalists. We were told that Polly and Rob write their own scripts and headlines for the autocue. Kaddy also writes her own scripts but doesn’t have an autocue and not only has to remember it all but also has to adjust it on the fly depending upon how long she has. I don;t know how they cope with the 6 people in the producers’ gallery all talking at once which they can hear through their earpieces while broadcasting. It really was most impressive.’
