Superb Light Airy Offices in Uckfield

We have just been asked to find an occupier for a delightful 2nd floor suite in The Roller Mill which is in the centre of the Town being only a few minutes from Waitrose and other shops in the High Street as well as close to the mainline railway station. Being on the 2nd floor, accessed via an electric lift, there are some great views and, being so high up, there is plenty of natural light in this triple aspect accommodation. There is some 1,140 sq ft overall with car parking. There is also available for half day hire a very fine conference room on the ground floor having a wonderful glass topped table designed and manufactured to fit round the central circular columns. This room also has a plasma TV screen for presentations.

Some really super offices in the town centre available at a very competitive rent of £9,750 per annum.

Dramatic Reduction For Quick Occupation

The owners of 38 Bell Lane, also known as Unit 7 Plot 19, in Uckfield, which is a very smart refurbished industrial unit, have reduced the freehold asking price by £50,000 to a new asking price of £325,000. They have also reduced the rental figure to £22,500 per annum. There is still some flexibility in both those figures for a serious occupier. It is also worth noting that this building has 12 car parking spaces immediately to the front which is a far better allocation than most other units in Bell Lane.

The unit has been the subject of a very thorough refurbishment including new double glazed windows throughout, new personal access door and new electrically operated roller shutter door. The premises have been painted throughout including the factory floor and new carpets have been fitted to the offices.

The premises were, for some years, used for car body alterations, restorations and spraying. Since then an application extending the use to including B2 industrial and B8 storage has been approved. Thus there is great flexibility of use available in these premises.

We strongly recommend viewing so give us a call as we hold keys.

New Barber Comes To Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells

Lawson Commercial have let a vacant shop premises at 62 Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells, quite a large shop with over 800 sq ft of accommodation on the ground floor together with a basement store and a rather attractive enclosed courtyard-style garden. The shop is to become a specialist gents barbers.  We are pleased to have able to act quickly on this shop as it was not in the market for very long. This shows that there is still good demand for shops at sensible rents.

2 Falmer Court Let

Lawson Commercial have let a delightful ground and 1st floor office suite in Falmer Court in London Road, Uckfield. The suite comprises some 1,687 sq ft overall with 7 car spaces and had a most attractive patio ideal for sitting out on when the sun shines. it has been let to The Travel Adventure, a specialised travel business who arrange group travel for schools, universities and educational establishments generally as well as other corporate groups. It was interesting that another travel company has come to Falmer Court as we already have next door KBC PR & Marketing who also specialise in the travel industry and were one of the award winners at the recent Uckfield Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Partner Chris Lawson Presents Business Award

On 1st November the presentation ceremony took place of the first Uckfield Chamber of Commerce Business Awards at the East Sussex National Hotel. It was a packed evening with over 330 attendees. Lawson Commercial sponsored and judged the Small Business Category which was well supported with over 16 entries from a wide variety of businesses including a scientific research company, retailers, manufacturing companies and several service-based businesses.

From the written entries a short list of four was drawn up which included Oncology Imaging Systems, Reversing Made Easy, Pipe Dreams and KBC PR & Marketing. Each of these four was visited by Lawson Commercial partners Chris & Julia Lawson. It was a difficult sector to judge due to the range of businesses entered and there were many good entries. Any one of our short list would have been a deserving winner. We finally selected KBC PR & Marketing who specialise in travel promotion and are based in Falmer Court. This is a business which has been built up by the proprietor Kate Burgess-Craddy  through determination and hard work over a considerable period of time to create a niche in what they do. It is interesting to note that Kate was also awarded the Business Person of the Year Award. Also of note is that Pipe Dreams, one of our short list, won the Retailer of the Year Award.

Below is Chris Lawson presenting the Small Business Award to Kate at the Ceremony.
