Uckfield Accountants Swindells On The Move

After 60 years in Uckfield High Street local chartered accountants Swindells are on the move. Lawson Commercial have let them Atlantic House on the Bellbrook Industrial Estate. This is a major letting for the Town securing an important local business in the area.  Atlantic House has some 7,500 sq ft on 2 floors with good car parking yet is within a few minutes walk of the High Street. The building is going to be the subject of significant refurbishment with the landlord spending over £200,000 on the works to ensure that these offices are fit for a 21st Century business and it is expected that the works will be finished by the end of the summer. We are delighted to have been able to assist Swindells in securing this building as they have had a requirement for new premises for several years.

Another Letting At Glynde

Following on the successful letting of one the workshop units at the Old Dairy in Glynde for the Glynde Estate Lawson Commercial have now let Unit 4, a very smart office. This bijou single storey office has been the subject of complete refurbishment and has been let to a specialist designer working in the fashion trade as a design studio and small workshop. Although these premises were only 330 sq ft we had a lot of interest in the space showing that good quality business space in the villages surrounding our bigger towns still attracts strong interest. We were pleased to have agreed this letting just as the building refurbishment programme finished.

Fancy A Sandwich Shop in the High Street?

The landlord has taken back the lease of Ryans at 146 High Street, Uckfield and is now in a position to offer a brand new lease to a new operator. This has to be one of the finest corner locations in the Town occupying an incredibly prominent position on the junction of the High Street and Grange Road. Those with good memories will recall when this property was run as Mrs Smith Bakery which was a very successful sandwich, cake and bread shop which had queues out the door some lunchtimes. With Corbins having also closed there is a need for a good retailer specialising in that sort of trade and much of the equipment has been left in situ.

The landlord is looking for a quick deal and is prepared to consider a discount on the rent depending on the status of a potential occupier. So give us a call now to arrange to view. We have got keys.

New MOT Facility in Bell Lane, Uckfield

Lawson Commercial have let the unit behind the Tile Centre, Unit 4 Plot 14 Bell Lane, to a business from East Grinstead who already have a number of MOT centres and will be refitting this unit for a stand alone MOT facility. It is good to see a unit let to a new business coming into the Town and it means that there is now plenty of choice as to where you can get an MOT.

Small Unit With Trade Counter Facility In Uckfield

We have just been asked to market one of the Riverside units which are the smart small modern units which lie behind the Royal Mail Sorting Office on the Bellbrook Business Park. These excellent units were constructed in the mid 1990s and have always been very popular partly because they have got 5 car parking spaces per unit.

Unit 5 has just become available and it has a long established trade counter use ideal for the small business contemplating some quasi retail operation. It has over 1,000 sq ft on the ground floor and a substantial mezzanine floor of 860 sq ft for extra storage making a total of 1,912 sq ft overall.

So well worth thinking about and available on a brand new lease of 6 years with a review after 3 years at an asking rent of £9,500 pa.

Dog Blog

Hi. Thought I would slip in a quick blog while no one is looking as I have not had a chance recently with the office being so busy. Toffee and I are really into the swing of the office lark now and have even been given a proper entry on the Team listing.

I have not been allowed out so much recently and kept away from other dogs particularly the collie from down the road who keeps coming to visit. Missus has been talking something about On Heat but I think it has been jolly cold.  At home I have been spending time by the wood burner. Toffee prefers an open fire but she has to battle with the cat for pole position. There has also been talk about trips to the Vet in a couple of months but I feel perfectly fine so I don’t know what that is about.

Well must sign off now. This blogging is so exhausting think I will have a nap.
