Unit 3 Holbein Place on the Bellbrook Park in Uckfield has a new occupier.
This 1,128 sq ft modern industrial unit has been let by Lawson Commercial to expanding business Vantech Volkswagen. This is yet another example of a local small business expanding in the area and we are delighted to welcome Steve Cornwall to the Bellbrook Estate. He specialises in looking after VW vans.
Cleo adopts one of her favourite poses whilst manning the front door.
Lawson Commercial have let the former Hazelgrove Opticians premises, located in a delightful Grade II listed building at 21 Church Street, to Stephen Palmer of Cranwell Wealth Solutions.
The property occupies a prominent position in Church Street opposite Regency Close and has many interior exposed beams comprising just under 400 sq ft.
Mr Palmer lives in Uckfield and has been involved in the financial services industry for over 20 years. Lawson Commercial partner Chris Lawson said: ‘We are happy to have assisted a local business expand and believe this will be a good location for them.’
Lawson Commercial have let the former Candy Store premises at 168 High Street, Uckfield to Sharon Douglas and Martin Sergison who have recently sold a cheesemonger and deli business in Somerset and are relocating to Uckfield.
They are currently refitting the premises and plan to open in early July. We are delighted to welcome this couple to Uckfield. Many people have commented how they miss having a ‘proper’ cheesemonger in the Town so we believe they will do well.
They have viewed the Town on many occasions over the last 6 months and are well aware of the improvement works and the challenges they face. However they see Uckfield as somewhere where quality and service are appreciated. They also plan to include products from good local producers of whom there are a considerable number in the area several of whom are national award winners.
If you would like some fantastic views from your offices, this suite at Broadway House in Crowborough could be just for you.
The suite has 7 rooms and totals some 948 sq ft including a kitchen, 2 w.c.s and a strongroom. The suite also comes with 2 car parking spaces.
It is available at a very competitive rent of £9,000 per annum. So well worth viewing.
We are pleased to report that we have let Clearwater House on the corner of Bellfarm Lane and Bell Lane in Uckfield. The property is only yards away from the High Street and opposite Boots.
Following a successful planning application to change the use from offices to retail the property has been secured by SG Home Interiors from Clayhill on the outskirts of Lewes. They will be opening a specialist home interior shop which will include kitchens, bathrooms and general home interior design plus outdoor garden furniture. They will be refitting the premises but liked the unusual minimalist design of the interior of this property which lends itself very well to imaginative room sets.
They hope to be open for business in early July.
We are especially pleased that we were able to find someone so quickly upon receiving instructions on this property as it had been on the market for some while. We did in fact have a number of occupiers keen to take this property as a shop which just goes to show one needs to think imaginatively sometimes when marketing premises.
Crowborough town was packed out for the Annual Fun Day last Saturday organised by Crowborough Chamber of Commerce.
Lawson Commercial are pleased to support this event as one of its main sponsors. Partners Chris & Julia Lawson turned out for the event meeting not only Chamber President and Secretary Jeremy and Claire Woolgar but also, amongst other, the Beacon Security bird.
The organisation was superb as usual with even the weather being arranged after a wet couple of weeks. Well done to the Chamber Team and Helpers for all their hard work in putting together another successful event.
The proprietors of Parade Radio, a well known and long established business in the Town, have now decided to retire and have put their property up for sale. It is a very interesting property and comprises a shop at the front facing towards the High Street which has potential for redevelopment
together with a 3-bedroomed cottage, currently let on a registered tenancy,
plus some offices and a detached garage block which could convert to a residential unit subject to planning.
So plenty of potential for an imaginative purchaser.
