Three Industrial Units Let Despite Lockdown

Despite the lockdown we are still doing deals on commercial buildings with 3 industrial units let recently. Unit 1 Riverside on the Bellbrook Business Park in Uckfield has just been let to a business from Chailey who are expanding. The unit comprises 1,070 sq ft on the ground floor with a small amount of office and storage at 1st floor giving an overall area of 1,703 sq ft. It was let at close to the asking rent of £12,000 pa with only a very short rent free period.

Unit 3 Riverside has also been let recently to a local business also expanding. That is a unit of 1,041 sq ft with no mezzanine floor and was let on asking terms again with a very short rent free period.

In addition 11 Knights Business Centre on the Squires Farm Industrial Estate  at Palehouse Common on the outskirts of Uckfield has been let to a new business specialising in food ingredients. It is already an online business with a very strong presence and now needs bricks and mortar premises to trade from. The unit is some 1,520 sq ft and was let at close to the asking rent of £12,500 pa.

Despite all the economic doom and gloom in the media currently there are plenty of entrepreneurs in the marketplace seeing new opportunities and possibilities and seeking premises. Our office is open and we are receiving enquiries on a daily basis and would be pleased to hear from anyone who has a commercial building that needs a new occupier. Maybe it is now too big or too small. We are practising Government recommended guidelines  and are happy to meet and talk following these protocols.

Small Industrial Unit Let In Crowborough

Lawson Commercial have let a small industrial unit in the Millbrook Business Park off Sybron Way, Crowborough.

Unit 7 had a ground floor area of just over 1,100 sq ft with some useful 1st floor offices/storage giving a total of 1,935 sq ft overall. The unit had been rewired and had the roof overhauled so presented as a good, smart unit.

It has been let to a local Crowborough business who was expanding and intends to use the property for storage and distribution. In these difficult trading conditions we are pleased than someone is planning for their future and committed to these premises allowing them to expand their existing business.

Despite the lockdown we have been receiving a number of enquiries on a daily basis, mostly for small industrial units of which there is a huge shortage throughout the East Sussex area. We would thus welcome anyone who has got a vacant small unit as we have waiting applicants.

Superb Prominent Building Now Let Crowborough

Sax House, one of the most prominent buildings in the Farningham Road Industrial Estate in Crowborough, has now been let.

The building was formerly used as offices and distribution centre for the UK Saxophone Company. They have moved their showroom facility to London but have retained an online distribution warehouse elsewhere in Jarvis Brook.

There was huge interest in this building of just over 5,600 sq ft from a variety of businesses all local. We received several proposals including one for the freehold but at the end of the day the building has been successfully let to local business FTI Ltd.
